Movies with Distinctions: Everything Everywhere All at Once
April 21 @ 8:00 pm - 11:30 pm EDT

[For Subscribers Only] Explore the transformative potential of cinema in these events that go beyond traditional passive film viewing. Hosted by Senior Landmark Staff, these immersive experiences combine the magic of cinema with the power of self-discovery. Participants will watch the entire film together, tackling a wide range of subjects. But this isn’t passive watching – each instance of Movies with Distinctions serves as a catalyst for deep, facilitated conversations and breakout sessions with other Landmark Graduates to engage in thought-provoking questions.
Join us as we watch last year’s Academy Award-winning movie, Everything Everywhere All at Once, starring Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan. This absurdist comedy-drama follows Evelyn Quan Wang, a middle-aged Chinese immigrant who, while being audited by the IRS, discovers she must connect with parallel universe versions of herself to prevent a powerful being from destroying the multiverse. The film explores themes of existentialism, generational trauma, and the search for meaning in a chaotic world, ultimately conveying a message about the importance of love, acceptance, and the interconnectedness of all things.
